A classic Rolex Day-Date reference 18238 in 18k yellow gold, dating to 1991 (E serial). The case has been polished in the past and remains in excellent overall condition, showing only light wear from use. The fluted bezel is still sharp and well defined, preserving the elegant proportions of the watch. The watch features its original black tritium dial, which is in very attractive condition. The dial has developed a subtle “stardust” style patina, with very light and tiny blistering across parts of the surface, giving it a unique vintage character without affecting the overall appearance. The hands match the dial nicely. It is fitted with its original President bracelet reference 8385, showing some stretch consistent with age, and secured by a clasp stamped P6. There is no known service history, however the watch has been checked by our watchmaker and is running properly. A very attractive early 90s Day-Date with a pleasing original black tritium dial and honest vintage character.
