A charming and honest Rolex Submariner reference 5508, dating to 1958 (serial 488XXX), fitted with a later Rolex tritium service dial. The case has been polished in the past and remains in very good overall condition, showing light wear from use. The reference and serial numbers between the lugs remain well defined, and the caseback is correctly stamped III.58. The watch retains its original bezel, while the bezel insert is a later replacement. The matte tritium service dial is in excellent condition overall, showing only light wear, and is complemented by matching tritium service hands. Powered by the Rolex caliber 1530, the movement has just been fully serviced by our watchmaker and is running perfectly. The watch is fitted on a beige leather strap with a non-Rolex steel buckle. A very attractive early Submariner with strong vintage charm, honest condition, and a freshly serviced movement, ready to be enjoyed.
