the present Blancpain Fifty Fathoms “No Radiations” Tribute, reference 5008D-1130-B52A, dating to 2021, is one of the most desirable modern reinterpretations of the legendary military dive watches produced by Blancpain during the 1960s. Issued as a limited edition of only 500 pieces, the model pays tribute to the rare and highly collectible “No Radiations” Fifty Fathoms originally developed for professional military and civilian divers. The watch features a 40.3 mm stainless steel case with sapphire bezel insert and highly domed sapphire crystal, faithfully capturing the vintage spirit of the historical model while benefiting from modern construction and reliability. Its matte black dial is distinguished by the famous yellow and red “No Radiations” logo at 6 o’clock, originally used by Blancpain to reassure divers that the watch contained no radioactive radium-based lume. The vintage-inspired cream Super-Luminova markers, geometric indexes, and fully graduated bezel further reinforce the strong military aesthetic of the piece.
