A superb example of the IWC Yacht Club II Jumbo reference 9719 in 18k yellow gold, dating from 1981 and featuring the distinctive design of Gérald Genta. With its generous 38mm case and substantial solid gold construction, the watch has a particularly impressive presence on the wrist. The case has been polished in the past and shows only light wear from use, with the original hallmarks still clearly visible on its side. The beautiful golden linen dial is in excellent overall condition, showing only very minor signs of age, with its original tritium hour lume plots and matching gold tritium hands beautifully preserved. The integrated 18k yellow gold bracelet is equally attractive and fits wrists up to approximately 19cm. The watch features a screw-down caseback and is powered by the IWC calibre 2250 quartz movement. The battery has recently been replaced and the watch is running well. It is accompanied by its original IWC presentation box and an Extract from the IWC Archives. A particularly attractive and seldom-seen example of the Yacht Club II Jumbo, combining Gérald Genta’s unmistakable design with the impressive weight and presence of a full 18k yellow gold case and bracelet.
